God Will Restore Everything You Lost

Table of Contents
God, who can restore the most seemingly irreparable situations, including a broken egg, wants to repay everything you have lost.
And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.
And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed. (Joel 2:25-26 KJV)
In today’s scripture, God promises to restore all the years the locust, cankerworm, and caterpillar have eaten. He also pledges we will eat in plenty, be satisfied, praise His name for dealing wondrously with us, and we will never be ashamed. To fully understand the passage, we must know what the locust, cankerworm and caterpillar represent.
What Does a Locust Represent?
Locusts are giant insects that move in large numbers to devour crops, causing severe agricultural harm. In the Bible, they represent devourers who have destroyed, stolen, or wasted our resources or blessings, causing us to lose some years in achieving a particular goal.
What Does a Cankerworm Represent?
Cankerworms, which are green caterpillars, are major pests that feed on fruits and leaves. In the Kingdom, they are also known as devourers, who have devoured or wasted our blessings, causing us to experience a delay in accomplishing a goal.
What Does a Caterpillar Represent?
Caterpillars are the larva stage of moths or butterflies. To complete their metamorphosis, caterpillars must eat, and they feed on plants and leaves. Again, they represent devourers who cause us to lose some years in achieving a goal.
Implications of The Restore Scripture
- Since locusts, cankerworms, and caterpillars represent devourers and God promises to repay the years they have devoured, it means He will restore the years we lost trying to accomplish our goals and everything we lost over the years.
- He will repay the years we lost in getting married, becoming pregnant, receiving healing, and acquiring wealth. He will also restore missed career opportunities, lost relationships, lost time due to poor decisions and whatever we have ever lost in the past.
- When we recover all the years and things we have lost, the passage says we will “eat in plenty” and be satisfied, meaning that we will have abundance and be happy.
- The restoration we will experience will cause us to praise God’s name — who has done wonderful things in our lives.
- Finally, the scripture asserts that the restoration will remove shame and reproach from us, and we will never be ashamed again.
Have you lost years in getting married, becoming pregnant, receiving healing, financial blessings or receiving your desired blessing and experienced shame? Rejoice, for He who can restore everything, including a broken egg, has promised to restore all the years and everything you lost. Since He can restore all things, including the years you have lost, and has promised to do so in today’s scripture, cheer up and believe it. Your belief and faith in God’s promise are crucial in this restoration process, and His promise is a source of comfort and reassurance. Believe it and experience restoration in every area of life.
