Super Mastering The Art Of Collaboration With God

God is always willing to perform extraordinary miracles in our lives. However, He often requires our collaboration before performing these miracles. Today’s scripture will delve into the importance of this collaboration with God and how to master the art.
And the Lord said to Moses, “Why do you cry to Me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward.
But lift up your rod, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it. And the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea. (Exodus 14:15-16 NKJV)

Exposition of the Scripture
Initially, Pharaoh rejected the Israelites’ request to leave after they lived in Egypt for 430 years (Exodus 12:40) and were enslaved for 400 years (Genesis 15:13). However, Pharaoh decided to let them leave after the tenth plague.
Before leaving, God told Moses He would harden Pharaoh’s heart to pursue them with his army (Exodus 14:4 NKJV). So, according to God’s word, Pharaoh and his army pursued the Israelites after they left and caught up with them at the Red Sea.
When the Israelites saw Pharaoh and his army behind them and the Red Sea in their front, they became scared they would all die. Moses calmed them down, telling them to be still and see how the Lord would fight for them.
As they were waiting to see the Lord fight for them, in today’s scripture, the Lord rebuked Moses, asking him why he cried to Him. He asked him to tell the Israelites to march forward and to stretch his rod over the sea and divide it. He also stated He would harden the Egyptians’ hearts to follow them into the Red Sea with all their chariots and horse riders.
Therefore, Moses stretched forth his rod over the sea. God used a strong east wind to divide it (Exodus 14:21). The Israelites walked on dry land and crossed the sea; the Egyptians also pursued them to cross the sea. But after the Israelites passed, Moses stretched forth his rod over the sea, and the Lord overthrew the Egyptians amid the sea, and they all died (Exodus 14:27).
Moses’ Collaboration With God
Today’s scripture indicates that the Red Sea’s extraordinary miracle wouldn’t have happened if Moses had not collaborated with God. Before dividing the sea, God asked the Israelites to do their own part of the collaboration by marching into it and Moses to stretch his rod over it. When they did their part of the collaboration, God did His by using the east wind to divide the waters.
The question now is: What could have happened if the Israelites hadn’t marched into the sea and Moses hadn’t stretched his rod over it? The miracle wouldn’t have taken place. For God to give them such instructions meant that their marching into the sea and Moses stretching his rod over the sea had to precede God’s sending of the strong east wind to divide the sea. In other words, if they didn’t do what God asked, God wouldn’t have sent the east wind to divide the sea.
Similarly, we must collaborate with God to perform extraordinary miracles in our lives. The Lord can perform any kind of miracle, but we must collaborate with Him before the miracles happen.
Mastering The Art of Collaboration
To master the art, you must first understand and believe that extraordinary miracles are a function of the combined effort of God and the recipients. Put differently, you must collaborate with God for a remarkable miracle to happen in your life. In Economics, it’s called division of labour.
We always have a role to play before receiving extraordinary miracles. Unfortunately, many people wait for the Lord without doing anything, just like Moses and the Israelites waited for God. The Israelites did nothing but cry until God rebuked Moses and asked him to tell the Israelites to march into the sea and stretch his rod over the sea.
Do you need to marry, become pregnant, receive healing or a financial blessing? Do you need an extraordinary miracle in your life? Don’t cry over your situation as the Israelites did. March into the “Red Sea”, and it will divide.
Your situation may be scary, as the Red Sea scared the Israelites, but you will get the same result if you do what they did. Just take a step of faith and march into the “Red Sea,” and your desired miracle will occur.
Marching into the “Red Sea” can mean different things to different people. Ask God what you should do to ensure you do the right thing. In Moses’ case, God told him what to do. Therefore, always ask God to tell you what to do, and you will always experience extraordinary miracles.
