- The verse starts by saying Jesus was wounded for our sins. So, Jesus had paid the penalty for our sins, making us free. However, one needs to receive Christ to appropriate it.
- He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities. Put differently, He was crushed and broken because of the evil we did. Hence, anyone who receives Christ will no longer be held responsible for any evil they did.

- However, to partake of that healing, you must have unwavering faith that God will heal you, not because you are prayerful or well-behaved but because of the wounds caused by Jesus’s scourgings. Your belief is the key to unlocking God’s healing power.
- You must also firmly believe that the wounds the scourgings caused on Jesus are more than enough to perfect your healing. There is no need for doubt when you have such a powerful source of healing.
- Therefore, no matter the cause of your illness, you can be healed today if you believe the wounds caused by the scourgings of Jesus have healed you. It’s okay to visit the hospital for treatment, pray to be healed, ask a pastor to pray for you or pray while doctors treat you. They are avenues God can use to perfect your healing, but you must not put faith in them because your healing comes from God and not from the avenues. So, while doctors treat you, you pray for yourself, or a pastor prays for you, your faith must be in God to heal you because of the wounds caused by the scourgings of Jesus. That way, you will receive your healing effortlessly.
