The Fail-Proof Marriage Ingredient

This article reveals a fail-proof marriage ingredient that has been tested and proven. The marriage ingredient, which works superbly, can be seen in the scripture below.
And Boaz answered and said unto her, It hath fully been shewed me, all that thou hast done unto thy mother-in-law since the death of thine husband: and how thou hast left thy father and thy mother, and the land of thy nativity, and art come unto a people which thou knewest not heretofore. (Ruth 2:11 KJV)
In today’s Bible verse, Boaz acknowledges his knowledge of Ruth’s selflessness that brought her to Judah, where they met and married. After losing her husband, Ruth selflessly accompanies her mother-in-law, Naomi, to a foreign land. This act of kindness, which led her to marry Boaz, a man of great wealth, is an inspiring example of a meek and quiet spirit in action.

What is a Meek and Quiet Spirit?
The Greek word for meek is “praus,” which means the act of not being occupied with self. Meekness, which stems from trust in God’s goodness and control over situations, is the opposite of self-assertiveness and self-control. In a layperson’s language, to be meek means to be selfless. The Greek word for “quiet” is “hesychios,” which means to be still and peaceful. So, a meek and quiet person means a selfless and calm person.

Applying a Meek and Quiet Spirit to Marriage
Did you know people see you as lovely if you exercise a meek and quiet spirit? Exercising such a spirit is indeed of great value. That is in line with what Peter wrote in his first epistle, where he described a meek and quiet spirit as an ornament of great value in the sight of God (1 Peter 3:4).
When men say they are searching for a good woman to marry, they unknowingly seek a lady with a meek and quiet spirit. That explains why Abraham’s servant used it as a criterion when choosing a spouse for Isaac.
He searched for a lady who would selflessly give him water to drink and volunteer to fetch water for his camels (Genesis 24:14). This was a significant task requiring physical strength and a selfless spirit.
Just as Rebekah’s selflessness led her to marry Isaac and Ruth’s led her to marry Boaz, your selflessness can pave the way for a successful marriage. Selflessness is a marriage quality that never fails. Whether you are a man or woman, single or married, I encourage you to develop a meek and quiet spirit. Doing so will enhance your relationships and bring about marital bliss. May you excel in your relationships, guided by the spirit of meekness and quietness, in Jesus’ name.
Prayer Point
Father, I ask for the grace to develop a meek and quiet spirit in Jesus’ name.
